My Career

Denise (Nesie) became intrigued with the soulful sound of Mavis Staples, of the Staple Singers, who became a major influence during her development. As she continued to mature musically, the vocal stylings of Patti Labelle was utilized to help strengthen and project her voice with more intensity and emotion. Denise performed with various secular groups and participated in countless competitions. Denise's career flourished as she turned her life and voice over to God and dedicated her voice to the building of the Kingdom.
